The MMAOA pride itself on providing Professional MMA Officials for any size event containing MMA Bouts.

Every MMAOA official has met the standards of and is registered with the Combat Sports Authority of NSW.

Our Officials have an in-depth knowledge of the rules and techniques used in MMA which is an essential requirement for any promoter having MMA bouts on their show.

All officials wear an MMAOA uniform consisting of an MMAOA official shirt, Black dress pants, dress belt and soft soul black shoes. MMAOA officials are obliged to maintain a neat and tidy appearance and act in a professional manner at all times during an MMA event. 

Promoters can have peace of mind knowing that the MMA bouts on their show will be totally organized and controlled by the professional well trained officials who organize everything for the MMA component of the event.

The MMAOA need to supply a minimum of 4 officials on a show containing 5 or less MMA bouts or 5 officials on a complete MMA show containing 6 or more MMA bouts.

The official’s duties will include: 

At the weigh in:

·         Official weigh in of competitors.

·         In-depth rules meeting.

·         Explaining the procedures of the event to the fighters and the fight team.

At the venue prior to the show:

·         Pre fight rules brief (most common fouls committed in the cage/ring).

·         Frisking down the fighters at the cage/ring entrance.

·         Applying the Vaseline to the fighters face at the cage/ring entrance.

During the show

·         Refereeing the MMA bouts.

·         Judging and timekeeping the MMA bouts.     

The MMAOA Officials required per show.

·         1 Referee (on shows containing 5 or less MMA bouts)

·         2 Referee (on complete MMA shows containing more then 6 MMA bouts)

·         3 Judges (on all shows containing any amount of MMA bouts)

This procedure will ensure that MMA fighters will receive professional MMA officials who understand the techniques, situations and the rules for MMA. This will also ensure a fair, unbiased scoring process with the safety of the fighter being looked after by legitimate MMA officials. 

Our Fee structure is based on an event according to the number of MMA bouts and the distance to the venue.

Sydney Metro

1 - 5 MMA Bouts $750.00 (4 Officials)

6 + MMA Bouts $1500.00 (5 Officials)

Outside Sydney Metro within 2 hours travel time

1 - 5 MMA Bouts $900.00 (4 Officials)

6 + MMA Bouts $1800.00 (5 Officials)

Outside the 2 hour travel time & Interstate (are to include travel and accommodation expenses)

1 -10 MMA Bouts $2000.00 (5 Officials) + accommodation.
